Happy Thanksgiving!

Just in from the 80th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City! Five of us made the trek up this morning at 6.10!!! It was wet and cold and wind, but lots of fun! Now for a small rest and then off to Thanksgiving Dinner!

Blessings!

What a lovely day!

A presentation this morning that went extremely well...
Classes that are making sense and coming to some tangible conclusions...
Margaritas with evangelical friends...
A home cooked meal...

Life, as I know it, is good.

In other news... please keep my grandma (the one who lives with us) in your prayers. She's feeling every one of her 86 years and is getting increasingly frail. Your prayers are coveted.

Go VOTE!!!

Thought o' the day: "Vote early and vote often." - Al Capone

From the Editorial Page of the New York Times...

On Tuesday, when this page runs the list of people it has endorsed for election, we will include no Republican Congressional candidates for the first time in our memory. Although Times editorials tend to agree with Democrats on national policy, we have proudly and consistently endorsed a long line of moderate Republicans, particularly for the House. Our only political loyalty is to making the two-party system as vital and responsible as possible. (NYT Editorial 5 Nov. 2006).

Well isn't that a kick in the pants... From this you might assume that the NYT has had a rather long love affair with the GOP wouln't you? All is not well. Conservatives are criticised for their news sources such as Fox News and papers like the Washington Times, yet papers like the NYT are branded neutral or standard. Is everyone that blind to see the NYT as the premier liberal-biased news outlet in America today?

As election day nears... Please read multiple sources, read all kinds of newspapers and magazines, blogs and other websites, and make an informed decision. Don't let the liberal rants and 'endorsements' of any newspaper make up your mind in the voting booth, vote your conscience, it's the only way you can live with yourself.

Thought o' the day: I voted three weeks ago! (Absentee)
