Ta-da! I'm back with a vengeance to all my loyal readers.

What a spiffy day here at Muskingum, let me tell ya, it was pretty darn spectacular come to think of it. I got up early this morning, something I don't usually do, but it felt good to have a restful time to get ready and not be rushed. I had a leisurely breakfast and then went up to my office and did some work, tutored someone for an Emergence class, and went to Chapel. Chapel was neat today, we had a Taize service. For all you religious knuckle-heads out there, Taize is a community of Christian brothers in northern France who devote themselves to doing good things, and they participate in a lot of meditative worship. I have included their website for your convenience www.taize.fr Jessica performed a lovely piece for the service, and lunch afterwards was scintillating as usual!

It snowed today!!! Well it just spit a little bit, but it still snowed!!! And this wind has been terrible, absolutely terrible. I was unsure if Patton 4th floor was going to remain a part of campus last night, and this morning it was quite breezy walking across the bridge, quite breezy indeed.

Work on my Senior Seminar is coming along. I am nearly finished with the main body and hopefully by this weekend the complete rough draft will be finished, including the epilogue. I have so many books in my room right now and it will be a blessing to be able to get them back to the library where they belong, and I can have more storage space! Speaking of books I was in the library yesterday and stopped by the 25 cent book table, wowsers! I picked up three classics for just 75 cents! _Why is the Church in the World_, Karl Barth Protestant Thought_, and _Ontology_ by Martin Buber, all for 75 cents! wow that's great, plus I'm helping the library (a little) :)

BIG NEWS!!! Next week is some International to-do week, and the departments are supposed to decorate as a country, so the History Dept. is going to be Ireland/Northern Ireland!!! We're going to put a tape line down the middle of the suite and Dr. Burk, Dr. Mangus, and myself will be Northern Ireland, and the rest of the suite will be Ireland, it'll be great fun. Those of us in the North will wear Orange (Wm. of Orange, the Protestant hero) and those in the South will wear traditional green. We'll put up Union Jacks and Irish National flags, and Dr. Kerrigan has promised to come in drunk and pick fights with students. Durin the change in classes he'll stand outside the suite and sing the Irish National Anthem in Gaelic, and then I'll sing "God Save the Queen"! It'll be all fun an political!!! I can't wait.

Well a rather large pile of books continue to stare me in the face, and they aren't reading themselves, unfortunately.....

Thought o' the day: Holy Spirit Come to Us, Veni Sancte Spiritus...

Greetings!

Kudos to Kari, she visited me on her day off! Needless to say I don't have a day off.....thanks Muskingum, now I can't properly celebrate Veterans Day, gee-whiz!

So today is Veterans Day/Armistice Day, originally commemoratin the end of The Great War, or World War I, now we honor all veterans from all wars, and pray for peace to reign on earth.

So,...... thanks to my grandpa Kizzy for fighting in France and Germany, to my grandpa Lorenz for sailing all over the Pacific, both during World War II, to my uncles and dad for fighting in Vietnamese swamps, and to the countless others who keep us free on a continual basis.

May all those now serving return home safely in very short order, and may peace rule in the hearts and minds of leaders all across this planet. 'Tis a command from on High, you know!

Let there be peace on earth,
And let it begin with me.
Let There Be Peace on Earth,
The peace that was meant to be.
With God as our Father
Brothers all are we,
Let me walk with my brother
In perfect harmony.

Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now.
With ev'ry step I take
Let this be my solemn vow;
To take each moment and live
Each moment in peace eternally,
Let there be peace on earth,
And let it begin with me.
AMEN!

We're in college people. Logically that means we're almost grown-ups. So what? you may ask. Well here's the point - ACT LIKE GROWN-UPS!!! It isn't difficult, be polite, not snotty. Take your medicine so to speak, suck it up, deal with it, and if necessary cut your losses and move on!

Like my mother always says "Some people's kids!"

Grace & Peace ya'll.

BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATERS
by Simon & Garfunkel

When you're weary and feeling small
When tears are in your eyes,
I will dry them all.
I'm on your side,
oh when times get rough
And friends just can't be found.

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

When you're down and out,
when you're on the street.
When evening falls so hard,
I will comfort you
I'll take your part,
oh when darkness comes
And pain is all around.

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

Sail on silver girl, sail on by
Your time has come to shine.
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine,
oh if you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind.

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
